The Proven CHANGE Framework: A Step-by-Step Roadmap to Personal Growth

Hey there! Brad Young here. It’s Friday, April 24, 2026, and if you’re reading this, it means you’re ready to stop spinning your wheels and start making some real moves. Whether you’re a professional trying to climb that corporate ladder or an individual just looking to get your life in order, we all hit that wall where we know we need to evolve, but we aren't quite sure how to do it.

At Brady Young Change, we don't believe in "fluff." We believe in systems. That’s why I developed the CHANGE Framework. It’s not just a catchy word; it’s a comprehensive roadmap designed to overhaul your life from the inside out. Today, I’m breaking down the entire framework so you can start implementing these strategies immediately.

Buckle up. We’re going deep.

C is for Communication: Mastering the Internal and External

Communication is the cornerstone of leadership. But most people think communication is just about how you talk to your boss or your partner. In reality, the most important communication is the one happening between your ears.

If your internal dialogue is trash, your external results will be too. In my book CHANGE, I talk about "Communication Mastery." This means being intentional with your words. When you speak with clarity and confidence, people follow. When you speak to yourself with discipline and kindness, you lead yourself to better places.

Actionable Transformation Strategy: For the next 24 hours, audit your self-talk. Every time you say "I can't" or "I'm not good at this," stop and rephrase it to "I am learning how to..." or "I haven't mastered this yet." It sounds simple, but it shifts your brain from a fixed state to a growth state.

H is for Habits: The Architecture of Your Day

Your life is simply the sum of your habits. If you want a different life, you need different habits. It’s not about the massive, one-time gestures; it’s about the boring, daily repetitions.

In the CHANGE framework, we focus on "Habit Stacking." This is a research-backed method where you take a habit you already have (like brushing your teeth) and anchor a new habit to it (like doing 10 squats). You aren't trying to find "new time" in your day; you're optimizing the time you already have.

Actionable Transformation Strategy: Pick one "Key Habit" that would make everything else easier. Maybe it’s waking up 30 minutes earlier or drinking a liter of water before coffee. Commit to it for 21 days straight. No excuses.

A is for Attitude: The Lens of Perspective

You can have the best strategy in the world, but if your attitude is rotten, you’ll find a way to fail. Attitude isn't about being "happy" all the time; it’s about having a proactive mindset.

When things go wrong: and they will: a high-performer doesn't ask "Why is this happening to me?" They ask "What is this teaching me?" This shift from victim to victor is what separates the top 1% from the rest.

Actionable Transformation Strategy: Try the "Five-Minute Rule." If something goes wrong, you get five minutes to complain, vent, or be frustrated. After five minutes, you must pivot to solution-mode. No more dwelling.

N is for Network: Curating Your Inner Circle

You’ve heard it before: you are the average of the five people you spend the most time with. If your inner circle consists of people who complain, settle for mediocrity, and lack ambition, guess where you’re going to end up?

Building a high-performer network requires being a high-performer yourself. You have to bring value to the table. In the CHANGE framework, we look at networking as a strategic investment.

Actionable Transformation Strategy: Write down the names of the five people you interact with most. Next to their names, write "Plus," "Minus," or "Neutral" based on their impact on your growth. If you have too many "Minuses," it’s time to start looking for new rooms to walk into.

G is for Goals: The Roadmap to Success

A goal without a plan is just a wish. We don't do wishes here. We do roadmaps. Most people set goals that are too vague, like "I want to be successful." That means nothing.

Your goals need to be granular. In my bestseller, Business Decision Making, I explain how every major business win starts with a micro-decision. Your goals should follow that same logic. Break the big vision down into quarterly, monthly, and daily targets.

Actionable Transformation Strategy: Use the "Reverse Engineering" method. Take your 12-month goal and work backward. What do you need to achieve by month 6? Month 3? This week? Today? Write down the three things you must do today to move 1% closer to that goal.

E is for Education: Continuous Learning

The moment you stop learning is the moment you start dying: professionally and personally. The world moves too fast for you to rely on what you learned five years ago.

Education in the CHANGE framework isn't necessarily about going back to school. It’s about being a lifelong student. Whether it’s research-backed methods, industry journals, or deep-diving into a new skill, you need to stay sharp.

Actionable Transformation Strategy: Dedicate 30 minutes a day to "Active Learning." This isn't scrolling through social media; it’s reading a book, taking a course, or listening to an educational podcast. Speaking of podcasts...

Business Decision Making & Audio Learning

If you really want to level up your professional game, you need to master the art of the decision. My book Business Decision Making dives deep into the psychology of how we choose. Often, we are paralyzed by "analysis paralysis." The framework teaches you how to cut through the noise and make high-stakes decisions with confidence.

When I'm on the road in the Maserati, I'm not just listening to music. I’m fueling my brain. Audio learning is one of the most efficient ways to grow while you’re "doing life." If you haven't checked out our latest episodes on PodCentral, you’re missing out on some major keys. We talk to industry leaders and break down their decision-making processes so you can apply them to your own career.

Putting it All Together

The CHANGE Framework works because it’s holistic. You can’t just work on your Habits and ignore your Network. You can’t set Goals but have a terrible Attitude. All these pieces fit together like a puzzle.

Personal growth isn't a destination; it's a process. It’s a Friday morning commitment to being better than you were on Thursday. It’s about taking these pillars: Communication, Habits, Attitude, Network, Goals, and Education: and making them part of your DNA.

Your Final Mission for Today:

Don't just read this and close the tab. Pick one pillar from the CHANGE framework and execute the actionable strategy I listed. Just one. Start there.

Change is hard, but staying the same is harder. You’ve got the roadmap. Now, go get to work.
